Senior Field Service Technician – Forklifts & Material Handling Equipment

About the role

You will operate independently in a company‑provided service van, delivering advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment across customer sites. This senior position also includes mentoring junior technicians and setting quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and minimize breakdowns.
• Execute first‑time‑right repairs and conduct inspections, safety checks, and scheduled service programs.
• Train and support junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Communicate findings and service recommendations clearly and complete accurate service reports and work orders.

Required profile

• 5+ years as a field service technician, heavy equipment mechanic, forklift technician, or industrial equipment technician.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working independently in the field with a valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in diverse weather and industrial conditions.
