Shield AI, a defense-tech company, is hiring a Senior Facility Security Officer (R4917) in Washington. The officer executes and scales security operations for classified programs, partnering with engineering, operations and program teams while safeguarding classified information and controlled technologies. The role demands strict adherence to NISPOM and government security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Run daily collateral security operations, maintain classified document control and accountability, and support classified facility operations and Restricted Areas
• Process badge requests and issuance, run weekly new hire orientation and deliver New Hire Security Training
• Process, disclose and host foreign visits in line with NISPOM, coordinate with stakeholders and support classified meetings
• Maintain Restricted Areas, enforce entry/exit procedures and run end-of-day security checks
• Process Technology Control Plans, support ITAR/EAR compliance and controlled technology safeguards
• Respond to alarms, GSOC alerts and security incidents, document and report them, and manage classified shipping and receiving
• Serve as Alternate Collateral COMSEC Officer and support COMSEC accountability and compliance
• Advise internal teams on security requirements, reporting obligations and best practices

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with active Top Secret security clearance
• Completed FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities (Safeguarding Certification)
• 5+ years of experience in industrial security or cleared environments
• Working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)

Required skills

• Experience with DISS, NISS or equivalent systems
• Preferred: foreign visit processing and TCPs, classified facility operations, security training delivery
