Senior Executive Assistant, CEO
sent · New York City
Job description
About the role
Sent is an A2P messaging infrastructure built on a single unified API, covering SMS, WhatsApp and RCS, and recently raised a $12M Series A. It is hiring a full-time, in-office Senior Executive Assistant to work directly alongside its Founder & CEO in NYC. The role owns the day-to-day coordination of the CEO's calendar, inbox, meetings, travel and follow-through, and builds the systems that make this support more reliable as the company grows.
Key responsibilities
- Own the CEO's calendar end to end: prioritize requests, protect focus time, resolve conflicts and plan ahead across internal meetings, customers, candidates, partners and investors.
- Manage delegated inbox work: triage messages, draft responses in the CEO's voice, handle routine correspondence where authorized, and surface requests needing his attention.
- Prepare the CEO for meetings: gather context, confirm agendas and attendees, coordinate materials and clarify decisions and next steps.
- Track commitments and follow-through with a dependable system for action items, owners, deadlines and follow-ups.
- Coordinate business travel and expenses, including bookings, itineraries, meeting logistics and last-minute changes.
- Coordinate scheduling, materials readiness and follow-ups with the people responsible for substantive content.
- Assist the CEO in day-to-day coordination with external contacts and other executive offices, with discretion and prompt communication.
- Own defined operational projects such as improving meeting preparation, travel processes or the CEO's action tracker, agreeing on scope and priorities first.
- Handle sensitive information carefully and exercise sound judgment on what to resolve independently and what to escalate.
Required profile
- 7-10+ years of experience supporting a founder, CEO or senior executive in a fast-changing organization, or comparable experience showing the same level of judgment and responsibility.
- Always-on availability, including evenings and weekends, for urgent scheduling changes, travel disruptions and time-sensitive requests.
- Lives in NYC and can work in the office five days per week, with round-the-clock availability.
- Nice to have: experience supporting a founder or CEO at a venture-backed company, coordinating board meetings, investor conversations, leadership offsites or complex executive travel, and using AI and automation for research, organization or drafting with human review of outputs.
Required skills
- Strong calendar, travel and executive-support skills, managing competing requests and changing plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to draft concise correspondence and match the right tone.
- High agency, anticipating needs and solving routine problems independently.
- Discretion, reliability and attention to detail.
What we offer
- Annual base salary of approximately $100,000-$150,000 depending on experience.
- Meaningful equity with high growth potential.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage fully covered.
- 401(k) with 100% match up to 4%.
- Unlimited PTO.
- NYC workspace with daily meals and unlimited snacks.
- New MacBook Pro and Apple Studio Display.
- Wellhub Gold or Equinox stipend.
