Senior Engineering Technician

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Senior Engineering Technician to support the vehicular C4ISR/EW initiative in North Charleston, SC. This onsite position involves integration, repair, and maintenance of USMC communication systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for integration, repair, maintenance, and development of USMC communication systems/equipment.
• Develop technical content, system configuration, troubleshooting, and day‑to‑day support.
• Analyze technical data, prepare specifications, parts lists, and procedures.
• Review engineering drawings, assist in planning performance evaluation tests, and establish test procedures.
• Conduct testing with specialized instruments, evaluate results, and report findings and recommendations.
• Manage complex assignments, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and integrate work across projects.
• Train lower‑level technicians and travel up to 25% for TDY missions.

Required profile

• 6+ years engineering technician experience with an Associate degree or formal electronics training, OR 10+ years relevant experience with a high school diploma/GED.
• Experience designing, preparing, and modifying engineering documents and drawings.
• Ability to remain stationary 50% of the time, lift up to 50 lb, and work in outdoor and confined environments.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical PMCS.
• Operational knowledge of USMC voice and data communications (UHF, VHF, High Band, HF, SATCOM, SINCGARS, ANW2).
• Experience operating RF test equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting.
