Senior Engineering Manager, Product

About the role

Render is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead product engineers building the core developer experience of its cloud platform. This role combines technical leadership with product thinking, partnering closely with product managers and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product engineers through mentorship, feedback, and technical guidance.
• Hire and expand the team into multiple sub‑teams.
• Drive execution on product initiatives from ideation to launch, balancing speed with reliability.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Guide system design decisions and navigate architectural trade‑offs.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 8+ years of engineering experience shipping products with downstream impact.
• 4+ years of people‑management experience, including hiring and mentorship.
• Strong product‑oriented mindset and ability to translate business goals into engineering roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and design.

Required skills

• Deep technical background enabling engagement in system design, architecture, and engineering trade‑offs.
• Experience improving engineering velocity through tooling, processes, and team practices.
