Senior Engineer – Vulnerability & Security Patch Management

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead its enterprise vulnerability and security patch management across hybrid and cloud‑native infrastructure. The role focuses on reducing material risk at scale through automation, high‑fidelity data, and AI‑assisted prioritisation, enabling faster remediation decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end vulnerability lifecycle automation for on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Enrich and validate vulnerability and asset data to improve prioritisation and ownership.
• Develop and track meaningful security metrics and reporting.
• Adopt and advance AI‑assisted risk scoring, forecasting, and remediation decision support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, and global security teams.
• Provide technical assistance for audit responses and senior‑level documentation.

Required profile

• Subject‑matter expert on security patch deployment methodologies and tools.
• Experience assessing risk, scheduling deployments, and prioritising remediation.
• Comfortable using AI tools to classify, enrich and prioritise security data.
• Proven ability to create metric reports and drive accountability for compliance.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
