Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

CACI is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to act as a recognized subject matter expert. The role leads complex electrical analysis projects, manages cross-functional technical initiatives, gives strategic technical guidance and develops junior engineering talent. It involves investigating complex electrical designs, analyzing communication signals and quantifying RF characteristics. The position is full-time, regular, based in Aberdeen Proving Ground, with up to 10% travel in the continental US and a minimum TS/SCI clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Research complex circuit components, create detailed schematics and run time and frequency domain tests in the lab
• Work with digital communication protocols such as SPI, I2C and UART to understand data flow in devices
• Measure and analyze RF signals to identify modulation schemes, operating frequencies, occupied bandwidths and transmission power
• Analyze and decode RF modulation types to extract data and understand signal encoding
• Create device characterization data and detailed reports and briefings for customers
• Provide technical guidance, oversee project execution and mentor junior engineers
• Develop solutions that improve analysis processes and program performance

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field with 7+ years of experience
• Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Deep expertise in electronic schematic design and component identification
• Advanced benchtop equipment skills (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes)
• Strong technical writing and mentoring abilities
