Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and production of next‑generation neurotech hardware. You will be a core member of our hardware team, responsible for taking concepts through to mass‑production in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own electrical system architecture, schematic design, and component selection across compute, sensors, connectivity, and power subsystems.
• Lead board‑level design from concept through Engineering Validation Test (EVT), Design Validation Test (DVT), Production Validation Test (PVT) to mass production.
• Design high‑density, multi‑layer PCBs using HDI techniques, fine‑pitch BGAs, and controlled‑impedance routing.
• Implement high‑speed digital interfaces such as USB, Quad‑SPI, MIPI, CSI/DSI, DDR, and design analog/mixed‑signal circuits including amplifiers, filters, sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC.
• Develop power architecture for battery‑powered wearables, including high‑efficiency buck/boost DC‑DC converters and battery‑management solutions.
• Lead board bring‑up, electrical debugging, and validation including signal integrity, power integrity, and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to optimise size, thermal performance, and reliability.

Required profile

• Senior‑level electrical engineer with proven experience delivering consumer electronics hardware from concept to production.
• Hands‑on expertise in mixed‑signal and high‑speed PCB design in a startup or fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to own large portions of the hardware stack.

Required skills

• PCB design, HDI, fine‑pitch BGA layout, controlled‑impedance routing
• High‑speed interfaces: USB, Quad‑SPI, MIPI, CSI/DSI, DDR
• Analog and mixed‑signal circuit design (amplifiers, filters, sensor interfaces, ADC/DAC)
• Power electronics: buck and boost DC‑DC converters, power management ICs
• Battery systems: Li‑ion/Li‑poly charging and management
• Debugging tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, high‑speed probes
• Signal integrity, power integrity, thermal analysis
