Process Engineer II – Downstream Process Development

About the role

EVERY™ is seeking a Process Engineer II to join its downstream process development team. You will design, execute, and scale laboratory experiments into pilot‑scale biomanufacturing operations, directly impacting the production of precision‑fermented protein ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Iteratively optimize downstream processes, moving improvements from lab to external pilot plants and back.
• Perform unit operations such as tangential flow filtration (TFF), depth filtration, chromatography, continuous centrifugation, and spray drying at the headquarters.
• Develop and review tech‑transfer documentation, travel to pilot sites, and coordinate with equipment vendors.
• Partner with scientists and engineers to translate bench‑scale ideas to pilot scale and analyze results for further experimentation.

Required profile

• B.S. in Chemical, Biological Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience executing tech transfers to external pilot or CMO facilities and leading technical discussions with vendors.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% and strong written/oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with TFF, depth filtration, continuous centrifugation, chromatography, and spray drying.
• Proficiency in preparing and managing tech‑transfer documentation and scale‑up trials.
