Senior Electrical Engineer – EMI/EMC Design

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior EMI/EMC Engineer to join our Air Dominance & Strike Electrical Engineering team. You will design, test, and validate electromagnetic compatibility and interference solutions for advanced electronic products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct EMI/EMC testing and analysis on systems and components.
• Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification.
• Develop design strategies to mitigate EMI/EMC issues and prepare test plans, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with product design teams to integrate EMC requirements early in the design phase.
• Identify program EMI/EMC risks and define mitigation strategies using modeling, simulation, or experimental activities.
• Stay current with standards such as MIL‑STD‑461G, MIL‑STD‑464D, DOD‑160, FCC, CISPR, IEC.
• Conduct field tests to evaluate product performance in real‑world environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of EMI/EMC design and testing experience.
• Proven expertise in HERO, HEMP, lightning protection, ESD, RF exposure limits, and operational electromagnetic compatibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Required skills

• Use of EMI/EMC test equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, antennas, LISN, etc.).
• Simulation tools such as ANSYS and CST Microwave Studio.
• PCB layout techniques for mechanical, electrical, EMI/EMC, and manufacturing requirements.
• Reading and interpreting schematics; familiarity with interfaces like MIPI, DP, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB.
