Senior Divisional Strategy Consultant

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Senior Divisional Strategy Consultant in Chicago. The consultant supports divisional short-term and long-term planning, helps leadership teams execute the business plan, strategies, analytics and data needs, and works with matrixed business areas to align them with divisional strategy. The role also covers competitive and market analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify tools to assess and track strategic opportunities
• Develop end-to-end reports and act as a bridge between internal business and technical or analytical teams
• Support a governance structure with leadership for evaluating strategic opportunities
• Identify opportunities to meet divisional needs and integrate them with overall HCSC strategy
• Work one-on-one and in groups with team members to gather data, brainstorm, discuss analytic approaches and share findings
• Document and analyze competitive and market information for the division

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in strategic planning, market research, network management or product development in healthcare or consulting, or a master's/professional degree with 4 years, or 7 years of experience
• Experience managing complex corporate projects in a matrixed environment
• Experience interacting with staff and management across multiple departments
• Preferred: master's degree and managed care, payer or benefit design experience

Required skills

• Project management, organization, prioritization and problem-solving
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication, including presentation and group facilitation
• Business analytics and information synthesis
• Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends
• PC proficiency including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, with strong Excel skills

What we offer

• Base pay range of $61,500 to $136,100, varying with skills, experience and location
