Senior Director of Residence Life & Judicial Affairs

About the role

The Senior Director of Residence Life & Judicial Affairs leads the university’s housing operations and oversees student conduct processes at Texas A&M University‑Victoria. This senior position provides strategic direction for residence life programming and serves as the chief judicial officer for the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of residence halls and supervise staff, resident assistants, and housing personnel.
• Develop, implement, and manage policies, procedures, and programs supporting residence life and student programming.
• Coordinate non‑academic student conduct incidents, oversee hearing officers, and serve on the university hearing board.
• Act as hearing officer for Level 3 and higher cases and adjudicate Title IX related sanctions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university codes of conduct.
• Conduct bi‑annual training for hearing officers and participate in the Behavior Assessment Team.
• Manage severe roommate issues, mediate conflicts, and provide on‑call crisis response.
• Oversee housing assignments, reconcile charges, and analyze occupancy, retention, and market trends.
• Represent the department on university committees and serve in the Vice President, Student Affairs’ absence.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in student counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in residence life, student affairs, or judicial affairs.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Title IX regulations and university conduct processes.
