Senior Director, Residence Life & Judicial Affairs

About the role

The Senior Director of Residence Life & Judicial Affairs leads the university’s housing operations and oversees all student conduct matters. Reporting to senior student affairs leadership, this position ensures a safe, supportive living environment and enforces university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of residence halls and residence life programming.
• Supervise departmental staff, resident assistants, and on‑call crisis response teams.
• Develop and administer policies, procedures, and programs for residence life and student conduct.
• Coordinate non‑academic conduct incidents, oversee hearing officers, and serve as a hearing officer for serious cases.
• Implement judicial sanctions for Title IX cases based on recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and university codes of conduct.
• Conduct bi‑annual training for hearing officers and serve on the Behavior Assessment Team.
• Manage severe roommate issues, mediations, and crisis interventions.
• Oversee housing assignments, charge reconciliation, and occupancy analysis.
• Participate in university committees and act in the Vice President’s absence.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in student counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in residence life, student affairs, or judicial affairs.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage large teams and complex operations.
