Senior Director of Procurement

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Senior Director of Procurement to lead sourcing strategy for its beef, pork, dairy, and commissary categories across North America. The role balances strategic planning with hands‑on execution to ensure a resilient, cost‑effective supply base that supports menu innovation and the Food With Integrity mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute end‑to‑end sourcing strategies, including pricing models and supplier portfolio design.
• Build market intelligence capabilities to anticipate commodity trends.
• Lead sourcing for new menu items and limited‑time offerings.
• Identify margin improvement opportunities through negotiations and value‑chain optimization.
• Manage Food With Integrity audit compliance and documentation.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with strategic suppliers and drive performance across cost, quality, service, and innovation.
• Assess risk, performance, and forward strategies through regular business reviews.
• Partner with Planning, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to align sourcing with business objectives.
• Support S&OP processes and enable data‑driven decision‑making.
• Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing procurement organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain experience.
• 8+ years of leadership experience building and developing teams.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, pricing, negotiations and supplier management.
