Senior Data Analyst - Labor

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for its Store Operations Labor team. The analyst uses technical skills to analyze complex datasets, uncover operational insights, predict future outcomes and recommend actions. Findings are turned into clear data visualizations that help business leaders make decisions, and the role works with other analysts to support analytically driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Improve labor-related business decisions that drive productivity in US retail stores: coordinate the design, development and implementation of analytical tools, dashboards, reports, presentations and visual aids; identify new ways to give business insight with enhanced technical capabilities.
• Analyze moderate to high complexity data for the hourly payroll labor model: identify trends, find root causes of labor problems and share analytical findings with client groups and leaders.
• Support existing analytical tools and dashboards for process improvement and build additional technical competencies.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• At least 2 years of work experience; no leadership experience required.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, explain complex ideas simply, and communicate well in writing and speech.

Required skills

• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Tableau and presentation software such as PowerPoint.
• Preferred: proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, Tableau and similar tools, with the ability to learn new technical skills.
• Preferred: working knowledge of GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini).
