Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

Castelion is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to protect sensitive systems, data, and infrastructure critical to national security. The role focuses on threat detection, SOC operations, incident response, and compliance within the defense industrial base, offering direct impact on high‑value defense projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 security monitoring using SIEM platforms and advanced threat detection tools.
• Analyze security events, identify threats, and coordinate incident response activities.
• Identify vulnerabilities, recommend remediation, and perform threat hunting to uncover sophisticated adversaries.
• Conduct forensic analysis of incidents involving classified and sensitive systems.
• Support compliance with NIST 800‑171, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR, and other DoD requirements.
• Maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, incident reports, and audit artifacts.
• Configure and maintain IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Participate in secure architecture reviews and mentor junior analysts.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, manufacturing, and program teams on security initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related technical roles.
• Hands‑on experience with security operations, incident response, and threat analysis.
• Experience protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in aerospace, defense, or government‑contracting environments.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud environments.
• U.S. Person status required to comply with ITAR regulations.
