Senior Counsel - Privacy, Regulatory & Technology

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead legal matters for its Enterprise and Credit Risk (ECR) product family, ensuring compliance with privacy, credit reporting, AI, and data governance regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal lead for ECR products, advising on privacy by design, regulatory reviews, and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Establish compliance frameworks for privacy, credit reporting, consent management, data subject rights, AI, and model risk management.
• Coordinate cross‑jurisdictional legal analysis and develop consistent positions on local regulatory requirements.
• Support market entry and strategic partnership reviews, including drafting and negotiating contracts with partners and customers.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Advanced expertise in privacy and data protection law with experience in credit reporting or financial services.
• Experience advising on AI, automated decision‑making, model governance, and data analytics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with global product, regulatory, and technical teams.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary ranging from $204,000 to $325,000 USD per year.
