Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Senior Contract Specialist in Chicago. The role covers drafting account-specific documents, reviewing non-standard document language requests and leading the day-to-day operations of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Draft account-specific documents and review non-standard document language requests
• Refer issues to senior staff as required
• Coordinate and oversee staff training
• Conduct random audits to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Lead day-to-day operations of the team, consult with colleagues and raise concerns to management
• Act as liaison between staff and management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience in a position involving independent judgment and initiative
• 1 year of experience drafting standard or customized contracts or booklet documents without guidance
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment and completing tasks on time
• Judgment and problem-resolution skills
• Verbal and written communication skills to interface with staff from other departments, draft document language and resolve issues

Required skills

• PC experience including Microsoft Office
• Preferred: experience developing corporate project plans and project management skills

What we offer

• Base pay range of $63,300 to $114,300, varying with skills, experience and location
