Operations Enablement Intern (Early Careers)

About the role

HCSC is hiring a paid, ten-week Operations Enablement Intern in Chicago, IL, as part of its formal early-careers internship program. The intern works closely with cross-functional teams in business and technical areas, contributes to project work, analyzes information and supports solutions that meet organizational needs. The internship is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Own parts of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
• Research, analyze data and information and develop recommendations that inform real business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.
• Learn and apply aspects of the organization's processes, programs and technologies, growing in independence and ownership.
• Deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results and recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity and other compliance policies.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree; rising senior in business administration, communications, information security or information technology (other majors may be considered).
• Graduation between December 2027 and June 2028, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full 10-week program and able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Plus: experience with customer relationships, suppliers or contracts; knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare or regulatory requirements; prior intern or team experience; student involvement; strong communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• PC skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint and Outlook.

• Base pay of $19.13 - $34.17, varying with skills, experience and location.
