Senior Content Author (AEM)

About the role

Critical Mass is looking for a Senior Content Author (AEM) in San Jose who designs components and supports web applications. The role works independently, owning the design and authoring of simple and complex websites, and provides estimates for its own tasks. It involves building web applications with modern front-end technologies and content management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build web applications following current web standards and using the components implemented by the Development team
• Work closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams so that technology meets performance targets on mobile and desktop platforms
• Help oversee and test component development
• Implement user and business requirements through multiple authoring activities
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation according to capability guidelines and best practices
• Debug or troubleshoot complex issues in existing web applications
• Provide proactive feedback on policies and procedures where improvements are possible

Required profile

• B2+ English proficiency (reading, writing and conversation)
• 4+ years of experience with content management systems (AEM, Sitecore, TeamSite)
• Experience manipulating and administering website content
• Experience using best-practice version control methodologies
• Familiarity with JIRA or a similar issue-tracking tool
• Knowledge of Agile is a plus

• Data formats used in web applications such as JSON and XML
