Content Author (AEM)

About the role

Critical Mass is hiring a Content Author (AEM) in San Jose. The Content Author creates, edits and tracks content within a CMS environment, interacts with most stakeholders in a project and acts as a CMS project owner, delivering results that benefit both the project and the team. The role involves working with web applications and front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Key responsibilities

• Create or update content in the CMS (AEM, Sitecore, TeamSite) using basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript so that pages reflect client requirements.
• Work closely with Creative, Business, Technology and QA teams to ensure quality and timely web development.
• Implement technical solutions following the Capability's best practices.
• Debug or troubleshoot simple issues in existing web applications.
• Give feedback on policies and procedures when improvements are possible.
• May manage GIT repositories (branches, merges, commits).

Required profile

• B2+ English proficiency in reading, writing and conversation.
• 1+ year of experience with content management systems (AEM, Sitecore, TeamSite).
• Experience manipulating and administering website content.
• Experience using best-practice version control methodologies.
• Knowledge of Agile is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cross-browser and responsive development.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with JIRA or a similar issue-tracking tool.
• Knowledge of data formats used in web applications such as JSON and XML.
