Senior Consultant (Generalist) - Strategy Consulting

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, is hiring a Senior Consultant (Generalist) in its Boston office. Generalists work across a range of industries and capabilities, building broad experience before focusing on a practice area. The role involves leading significant parts of client engagements, owning complex analyses and translating insights into practical recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Structure complex business problems and develop analytical approaches to address them
• Conduct and oversee research, interviews, surveys and quantitative analyses
• Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
• Develop client-ready presentations and communications
• Lead defined project workstreams and manage deliverables, timelines and quality
• Collaborate with clients and project teams, support implementation and coach junior team members
• Contribute to practice development and knowledge-building initiatives

Required profile

• 2-4 years of relevant strategy consulting experience
• Demonstrated experience leading projects or significant workstreams within a strategy consulting firm
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong client and stakeholder management and proven teamwork abilities
• U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not offered

What we offer

• Base salary range of $135,000 to $155,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, location and education
