Senior Consultant – Finance

About the role

Raftelis is seeking a Senior Consultant to deliver finance‑focused consulting services to municipal utilities (water, wastewater, stormwater). You will work on multi‑disciplinary projects such as financial planning, rate setting, bond feasibility studies and other financial analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Mine and aggregate data from multiple sources and build Excel‑based financial models for revenue, expenditure, cost allocation and rate design.
• Switch between projects under guidance of project managers to meet milestones and deliverables.
• Produce, edit and present reports, proposals and presentations using strong public speaking and technical writing skills.
• Support senior staff in business development and lead junior staff in project execution.
• Communicate with clients to gather data and project information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, economics, mathematics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years managing projects in water, wastewater, stormwater or related industry.
• Ability to work under multiple project managers with competing deadlines.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel, including VBA programming.
• Strong proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with MS Access, SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Critical thinking and analytical problem‑solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
