Senior Consultant, AI Development and Go-to-Market Strategy

About the role

Community Solutions seeks a senior consultant to expand its AI portfolio, guiding the development, testing, and deployment of AI tools across a network of 170+ communities. The role balances hands‑on technical work with strategic partnership and go‑to‑market planning.

Key responsibilities

• Define optimal strategies for building and testing AI prototypes, own the technical architecture, and decide between in‑house development or external partnerships.
• Establish privacy‑safe, local deployment approaches for tools handling sensitive client data.
• Lead external engagements, manage technology partner relationships, and track AI‑for‑good opportunities to meet time‑sensitive windows.
• Oversee pilot deployments with partner communities, gather feedback, and create scale‑up plans, including documentation and training for field practitioners.
• Develop the go‑to‑market budget and present recommendations to the executive team and board.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and ship AI‑enabled software across the stack, including APIs and data pipelines.
• Strong product judgment to assess what is worth building versus partnering.
• Experience managing external technology or funding partnerships with minimal supervision.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments with a bias toward shipping.
• Commitment to Community Solutions’ mission and familiarity with homelessness or human services is a plus.

Required skills

• Current AI toolsets and model deployment.
• API development and integration.
• Data handling, security, and compliance.
