Senior Complex Claim Representative – General Liability

About the role

Davies North America is seeking a seasoned professional to manage and resolve moderate to high‑severity General Liability claims. The role focuses on program‑based business such as non‑trucking liability, habitational risks, and pet‑care operations, requiring a deep understanding of bodily injury, property damage, and premises‑based exposures.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies, endorsements, and related coverage documents.
• Analyze coverage issues involving bodily injury, property damage, personal and advertising injury, and premises liability.
• Investigate slip‑and‑fall, premises, habitational, transportation, and animal‑related claims, coordinating with insureds, claimants, experts, and counsel.
• Develop and execute claim strategies to achieve timely, cost‑effective resolutions.
• Prepare coverage position letters, reservations of rights, and denial communications.
• Evaluate exposure, set reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Participate in mediations, settlement discussions, and litigation management as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Insurance regulations and internal standards, maintaining accurate documentation in the claims management system.

Required profile

• Several years of experience handling complex General Liability claims.
• Proven ability to manage a varied GL caseload independently.
• Strong analytical skills for coverage analysis and exposure evaluation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and claims documentation best practices.
