Senior Commercial Account Consultant

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is looking for a Senior Account Consultant for its Business Insurance team in San Antonio, Texas. The role manages 4 to 8 complex commercial insurance accounts and acts as primary consultant and relationship manager, working closely with Producers and the account management team. About three to four days a week must be spent in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client insurance programs, renewals and implementation, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams
• Build relationships with client decision-makers, senior HR/Risk leadership and C-suite sponsors, and track account revenue
• Provide risk management and plan-design advice, present risk and financial reports, and lead pre-renewal planning, renewal bids and vendor negotiations
• Oversee implementation and renewal execution, and act as the main contact for contract reviews using EPIC
• Represent the agency at conferences and industry events, support RFPs and recommend additional products to existing clients
• Serve as an internal subject-matter expert, coach teammates and follow compliance and security requirements, including protection of PHI/PII

Required profile

• 10+ years of commercial account executive, account consultant or related experience in insurance brokerage or risk management
• Active Texas Property & Casualty agent license
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management or a related field (or equivalent experience); CIC, CRM or CPCU preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting and alternative risk financing (deductibles, SIRs, captive programs)
• Excellent client-facing, written and verbal communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)
• EPIC agency management system and CRM platforms preferred
