Senior Clinical Research Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator evaluates, initiates, and oversees all activities related to the conduct of clinical trials. This role serves as a liaison between external funding agencies, sponsors, internal departments, staff, and patients to ensure compliance with trial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement strategies for recruiting and screening study participants, coordinating patient activities throughout the trial.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants to report adverse events and mentor staff on informed consent processes.
• Arrange required tests and procedures per protocol, perform clinical laboratory activities, and maintain study supplies and equipment.
• Maintain communication with study sponsors, manage site initiation, maintenance, and close‑out activities, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Complete data entry into sponsor‑specific systems, resolve queries, and support data coordination while adhering to Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical research experience, or 4 years with ACRP or SOCRA certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association obtained within 60 days of hire.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of ICH guidelines for ethical conduct of research.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system (Super‑User level) and other web‑based clinical data entry applications.
• Ability to develop study budgets, contracts, and patient consent documents, and apply lean management principles.
