Senior Client Manager - Employee Health & Benefits

About the role

The Senior Client Manager manages client service, renewals and product administration for the clients assigned to them, acting as their primary day-to-day contact. The position is based in Scottsdale and covers employee health and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage benefits accounts and build partnerships with clients' HR managers and support staff, resolving service issues and proposing timely solutions
• Assist in preparing RFP bid specifications, gather census and historical data, analyze quotes and advise on competitive carriers, and negotiate with carriers and underwriters on request
• Prepare and proof client proposals, attend client meetings and presentations, and launch new coverage lines and carrier changes smoothly
• Complete new and renewal paperwork, prepare employee communications such as brochures and payroll stuffers, and run group education and enrollment meetings
• Proof check booklets and contracts, request Schedule As for IRS Form 5500 filings, and notify clients of legislative and regulatory changes
• Maintain electronic files, document client meetings and decisions, and plan and complete daily workload while meeting deadlines

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years in group benefits, including at least 1 year in a Client Manager or similar role
• Licensed in Arizona Health, Life and Disability, or able to become licensed within 60 days of employment
• Preferred: some college or technical training, continuing education (RHU, REBC, CEBS, CBP), and experience with Applied EPIC

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work with mathematical formulas, write and speak clearly, and give public presentations
• Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
