Senior Citrix Administrator

About the role

Trace Systems is seeking a Senior Citrix Administrator in Radford, Virginia to support and maintain a mixed and growing environment of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022. The project is currently in the proposal stage.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the existing Windows team to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support servers for a mixed customer environment.
• Plan, execute and implement new hardware and software, and create and maintain technical instructions, operating procedures and policies.
• Monitor and tune server performance, harden servers and report on security and operational status.
• Recommend improvements and manage new software/hardware integrations, using utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions.
• Support the lifecycle of mixed vendor equipment in the datacenter, including firmware version control and preventive maintenance.
• Recommend, demonstrate and implement technologies to expand, upgrade and improve efficiency of the current environment.

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US government Secret clearance; US citizenship required due to contract requirements.
• Five or more years as a Windows Systems Administrator or Engineer designing, installing and maintaining Citrix XenApp, NetScaler Gateway, Citrix Storefront and Citrix Director.
• Three more years automating tasks with PowerShell.
• Three or more years installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting complex applications and websites (IIS, Apache).
• Three or more years in complex networking environments with fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and SNMP.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Computing Environment certification (MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) can be waived for 30 days after joining.

Required skills

• Certified Security+ and five years of Windows systems administration experience.
• Desired: Cybersecurity patch management and STIG, SRG, RMF, SCA-V and CORA experience; enterprise-level Active Directory, Group Policy, SOPs and DNS, SFTP, SMTP, NTP administration.
