About the role
The Senior Cash Accountant will perform complex accounting duties, prepare financial and statistical reports, and develop controls for accurate financial recording within an automated system. This position also provides training and financial guidance to management and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development, organization, preparation, and updating of complex financial statements, journals, accounts, ledgers, and reports.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, identify discrepancies, investigate, and recommend solutions.
- Monitor automated financial systems and document controls to ensure reliability and data integrity.
- Perform complex accounting and auditing reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and reports.
- Develop and manage complex work‑unit budgets, analyze funding sources, operational needs, and budget trends.
- Forecast budget balances and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Answer accounting‑related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate trainings and provide financial guidance to management and staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
