Part‑Time Lecturer – Commerce & Economic Development (Online)

About the role

The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University seeks a part‑time, non‑tenure‑track lecturer to teach graduate‑level finance courses in Commerce & Economic Development. The role may involve on‑campus, online, or hybrid delivery for Master’s and Graduate Certificate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses covering topics such as corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, risk management, financial modeling, derivatives, or FinTech.
• Develop and maintain course materials, provide timely feedback, hold office hours, and engage students through case studies and practical applications.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in Finance or a closely related field preferred; alternatively, a Master’s degree with at least 5 years of high‑level industry experience.
• Significant professional experience in finance roles relevant to the course topics and a minimum of three years combined teaching or professional training experience.

Required skills

• Relevant professional certifications or licensures (e.g., CFA, FRM, CFP, CPA) are advantageous.
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching modalities and ability to support a diverse student body.
