Senior Cabin Design Engineer (Contract)

About the role

This contract position supports the development and customization of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors for airline customers, covering the full lifecycle from concept to installation and in‑service support.

Key responsibilities

• Autonomously develop moderate to complex design solutions, including part design, layout maturation, trade studies, certification activities, and in‑service support.
• Create and modify technical documents using Airbus computer‑based applications with high quality and efficiency.
• Lead discussions, collaborate with cross‑functional departments, and mentor less‑experienced designers.
• Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with at least nine years of cabin/cargo design experience.
• Minimum two years of project management experience and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for aircraft design, certification and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• 3D modeling experience (CATIA preferred).
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
• Programming knowledge in Python, C or C++.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures.
