A220 Configuration Change Manager

About the role

Airbus is seeking an A220 Configuration Change Manager to join the Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role focuses on technical analysis and documentation for assembly anomalies, non‑conformities, and related rework orders on the A220 production line.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily disruption management by identifying, assessing, and resolving non‑conformities on the shop floor.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, including waste elimination (LEAN) and work‑improvement proposals.
• Manage industrial assets by creating repair requests, specifications for new or modified jigs, tools, and calibration activities.
• Assist with finalisation processes, ensuring completed templates are returned to requesters.
• Coordinate work‑order management, flagging blocked orders and prioritising serial and rework work orders linked to NCs.
• Promote EHS compliance, making rules transparent and addressing near‑miss incidents.
• Support quality and logistics functions to ensure standards are applied and materials are prioritised for rework.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace, preferably on a final‑assembly line.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Technical analysis of drawings, parts, tooling and documentation.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems for work‑order and NC management.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of EHS standards and implementation on the shop floor.
