Senior Business Analyst

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst leads the Sr. Management team in evaluating, designing, developing and implementing standardized reporting, business processes and information systems solutions. The role covers project management from start to finish, develops and maintains business strategies and project dashboards, and acts as a strategic thought partner on business issues. It reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead every phase of a project: define the business need, set criteria and requirements, assess business impact and design and roll out the solution (50%)
• Act as a subject matter expert and carry out research and analysis on assigned projects or business areas (25%)
• Establish and report metrics on projects or categories to measure business value (25%)
• Develop and track category and program performance and monitor trends
• Provide technical leadership to a project work team: select members, train them, evaluate performance and supply the information needed to meet objectives

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• 3 years of work experience preferred
• Preferred: prior experience applying research findings to retail, brand or category management; consulting or corporate project management experience; PMP certification

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of statistical methods and modeling
• Strong project management skills, including leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects to deadlines
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, able to interact at officer level
• Analytical ability to absorb, analyze and summarize large amounts of data

Travel is typically under 10% overnight, and the work is mostly done indoors in a comfortable setting.
