Philanthropy Coordinator

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center Foundation, part of Jupiter Medical Center, is hiring a Philanthropy Coordinator. The coordinator provides general administrative, logistical, project management, data entry and fundraising support to a team of 6 to 8 gift officers, helping the fundraising cycle run smoothly. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Major Gifts and Campaign Director.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cultivating, soliciting and stewarding current and prospective donors, and act as a point of contact for the philanthropy team and donors.
• Answer the main Foundation phone line, direct calls appropriately, update the voicemail and greet guests.
• Help prepare conference rooms for meetings, including audio-visual support.
• Provide a positive giving experience to donors by phone and in person, and handle incoming calls for memorial and in-honor-of gifts.
• Update and maintain donor records in Raiser's Edge and pull reports for portfolio review meetings.
• Manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with little oversight, and prioritize work independently and in a team.
• Assist with fundraising appeals: updating donor lists, editing, printing, mailing and managing timelines.
• Complete special projects, attend off-site Foundation events and seek additional duties and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in communications, hospitality or a related field; strong customer service skills preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a non-profit agency in the fundraising field, or equivalent; healthcare experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented, self-starter who can solve problems proactively and work well alone and in a team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
