Senior Business Analyst, Asset Protection Operations

About the role

The Senior Business Analyst Asset Protection - Operations leads enterprise projects and programs that reduce operational shrink, eliminate systemic process defects and strengthen Asset Protection execution. As the first-level project owner for major shrink initiatives, the role drives program design, rollout and sustainability, partnering with Asset Protection field leadership, Store Operations, AP Analytics, Finance and Inventory Accounting. It is based in the Store Support Center and typically reports to the Asset Protection Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end projects, including root cause analysis of operational shrink drivers and escalation pathways for shrink concerns raised by the field
• Use data gathering, analytics and trend identification to build solutions, plan projects and strategies, and synthesize findings into recommendations for upper management
• Produce documents for teams and leadership, deliver presentations to teams and executives, and enhance shrink programs and reporting
• Leverage AI and automation to streamline workflows and surface insights, and drive process improvement
• Lead enablement for field partners and lead a work group, assigning and reviewing work and training team members (no hiring, firing or disciplinary action)

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job
• Experience: 3 years preferred
• Preferred: prior store operations experience, strong understanding of how shrink occurs in stores, and the ability to communicate with store, field and SSC leadership

Required skills

• Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytics and data manipulation, with Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Teradata and relational databases preferred
