Senior Benefits Account Manager

About the role

The Senior Benefits Account Manager is a key member of the client services team at Marsh McLennan Agency in Dallas. The successful candidate has experience supporting employee benefits insurance accounts as a broker and acts as a lead or expert "power user" for a given account team.

Key responsibilities

• Data entry: enter client data into Benefit Point for RFPs, prospect reports and rate updates, and keep the online client binder up to date
• Support the Account Executive and act as a mentor and subject-matter expert, liaising with other Account Managers on coverages and processes
• Marketing: prepare and follow up on RFPs, maintain the marketing binder, review carrier quotes and prepare formal proposals, communication booklets and enrollment meeting materials
• Reporting: gather and submit ICAF/Milliman/DMW data, aggregate reports, Medicare Part D disclosures, Schedule A's and annual notices
• Technical development: take Bisys correspondence courses, join the GBA certification and attend EBIA webinars

Required profile

• College degree preferred
• Group 1 license obtained within 12 weeks of hire
• 2+ years as an Assistant AM/Account Manager at MMA preferred
• Bilingual Spanish is a major plus
• Proven ability to service multiple client renewals under mentorship

• Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills
• Windows applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and communicate effectively with clients, vendors and colleagues
