Commercial Account Executive

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is hiring a Commercial Account Executive in Dallas (FLSA exempt). The role manages client insurance programs, handling larger and more complex accounts than an Associate Account Executive, and works closely with producers, vendors and carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for the producer, initiate correspondence with the marketplace and liaise with vendors so requests are processed correctly.
• Maintain positive client relationships, manage upcoming deadlines and events, and begin guiding clients on their insurance program.
• Manage accounts receivable and direct billing, including cancellations.
• Create Acord applications (including supplements), COPE spreadsheets, loss summaries, renewal proposals, binders, schedules of insurance and policy documents.
• Prepare renewal documents such as certificates of insurance, process policy audits and monthly reports, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Analyze insurance quotes, interpret certificate requirements, communicate with carriers and clients, and design insurance programs based on client needs.
• Use premium analysis software and carrier online rating programs, and use the agency management system to monitor policies, aged accounts receivable and SIC codes.
• Work as part of the Client Services team, delegate tasks to account managers and outsourcers, support their training, and coordinate outsourcing teams.

Required profile

• Texas P&C agent license preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of midmarket commercial account manager experience preferred.
• Completion of CIC and CRM preferred.
• Proactive, multi-tasking, able to work beyond scheduled hours to meet client needs.
• Track record of partnering with clients by phone, email and meetings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and current internet technologies.
• Ability to learn, analyze and comprehend commercial lines of insurance.
• Problem-solving, confidentiality, diplomacy and tactfulness in client service.
