Property Placement Consultant

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency is hiring a Property Placement Consultant in Dallas (FLSA exempt). The role works closely with the Service Team to manage the end-to-end insurance placement process, from reviewing submissions and negotiating coverage to preparing proposals and binding orders.

Key responsibilities

• Keep track of assigned new business and renewal accounts and their timelines, and act as the main point of contact with the Service Team.
• Review submissions to the insurance market, prepare and submit documentation, and follow up with markets in a timely manner.
• Negotiate coverage, terms and pricing, and review exposures, forms, terms and conditions.
• Prepare quote comparisons and proposals, create schematics for shared/layered programs and other presentations, then finalize bind orders and review binders and invoices.
• Document the placement process in the Agency Management System and keep ongoing communication with the Service Team.
• Take part in placement team meetings, collaborate with producers and account managers, attend carrier meetings, and build strong relationships in the insurance market.

Required profile

• Licensed as a Texas P&C agent or able to obtain the license.
• At least 4-6 years of experience in middle-market business insurance.
• Proactive, multi-tasking, able to learn and analyse different lines of insurance, and able to service clients with problem-solving, confidentiality and diplomacy.

Required skills

• Sagitta, EPIC, Word and Excel.
• Analyzing insurance quotes and designing insurance programs for clients.
