Senior Bank Regulatory Counsel

About the role

Senior Bank Regulatory Counsel will provide strategic legal counsel on a broad range of U.S. banking laws, regulations, and supervisory matters for a global financial services leader.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on U.S. banking laws, including the Bank Holding Company Act, Dodd‑Frank, and related prudential standards.
• Interpret and guide compliance with Regulation W, Regulation Y, and Regulation K.
• Support interactions with federal regulators such as the Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC.
• Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions requiring regulatory approvals.
• Analyze legislative and regulatory developments and deliver actionable recommendations to senior business leaders.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in a U.S. state.
• 10+ years of experience in bank regulatory law, advising financial institutions, law firms, or regulatory agencies.
• Demonstrated ability to counsel senior executives on complex regulatory matters.
• Experience working with or advising foreign banking organizations is preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Bank Holding Company Act, Federal Reserve Board and OCC regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with Dodd‑Frank, Regulation W, Regulation Y and Regulation K.
• Strong legal analysis, drafting, and stakeholder management abilities.
