About the role

The Office of the Attorney General seeks an Assistant Attorney General to support the State Licensing Boards within the Regulated Industries and Professions Division. This role provides legal advice, represents boards in hearings and courts, and handles civil actions related to professional licensing.

Key responsibilities

Litigate cases in administrative, state, and federal courts, including hearings, motions, and appeals.
Research legal issues, prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and conduct settlement negotiations.
Provide legal advice to boards, draft memoranda, formal opinions, and attend board and departmental meetings.
Interview witnesses, work with expert witnesses, and travel as required.

Required profile

Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the Georgia Bar.
3–5 years of experience in administrative law or civil litigation, with trial experience preferred.
Ability to conduct legal research, draft opinions, and represent clients in various legal settings.
