About the role

The City of Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Auditor to lead and supervise audits of financial records for contractors, city departments, and nonprofit organizations. This senior‑level position ensures compliance with city, state, and federal regulations while maintaining high standards of internal control.

Key responsibilities

• Assign, review, and evaluate audit work performed by staff.
• Supervise audits of city departments to verify accuracy of accounts and adequacy of internal controls.

Required profile

• At least two years of full‑time paid professional financial auditing experience at the Auditor level.
• Valid Class C driver’s license issued by the California DMV.
• Clean driving record (fewer than three moving violations or at‑fault accidents in the past 36 months).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
