Senior Associate, Transaction Management

About the role

The Senior Associate, Transaction Management reviews the diligence and closes both flow and bulk residential loan acquisitions for AB CarVal Loan Portfolios. The role works with many parties inside AB CarVal and outside, reports to the Director, Investment Operations and is based in Minnesota.

Key responsibilities

• Transaction management (70%): handle loan re-underwriting, analysis, presentation and submission for settlement
• Work with the AB CarVal Loan Portfolios commercial team and external partners
• Ensure compliance with closing schedules and document submissions
• Help maintain office pipeline reports and manage the timely receipt and delivery of third-party reports and documents
• Give day-to-day operational input on residential loan transactions and quickly evaluate complex situations with sound judgement
• Business partnering (30%): make judgement-based decisions on the operations function and its impact on the business, and proactively communicate solutions to the team and management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or Finance, or equivalent education and related training
• 5+ years of direct transaction management experience
• Prior history of working in a high-volume loan production office
• Excellent organizational skills, drive to succeed and ability to meet deadlines
• Maturity and self-confidence to handle a variety of assignments at once
• Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well with internal and external people and customers

What we offer

• Base salary range of $110,000 to $155,000, depending on education, training, experience and performance
