Senior Architect - Cleveland Office

About the role

AE7 is looking for a Senior Architect for its Cleveland office to work on project work in the Ohio region. The role suits someone with at least 10 years of project experience in the Ohio market who understands project types, construction methodologies, codes and client connections. Workload may expand to AE7's US and international projects if desired, and the position could help grow the Ohio Architecture Department.

Key responsibilities

• Project manage and carry out projects through concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration and close-out
• Design, detail, create and review project documents
• Manage and mentor employees and project teams
• Coordinate and manage consultants and other disciplines
• Scope projects and proposals, manage deliverables, schedules and fees/profitability

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in architecture or architecture interiors
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Licensure
• Experience managing projects from concept to construction documentation with little to no supervision
• Preferred: expertise in civic, commercial buildings, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, residential or mixed-use projects

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of local building codes, IBC, ADA and life safety requirements, and navigation of municipal requirements
• Desirable: Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Illustrator
• Desirable: LEED, Well Building or Passive House certification; business development and networking skills
