Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting and Reporting

About the role

Ivy Health is hiring a Senior Accountant for its Accounting & Finance team, working remotely. The role supports technical accounting research, financial reporting, the monthly close, annual audit support, acquisition-related work and process improvement. It suits an experienced accountant who wants exposure to technical accounting, internal controls and ERP initiatives, with a path toward future accounting leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Analyze complex non-routine transactions such as acquisition accounting, joint ventures, lease accounting, debt modifications and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare subsidiary, lender, contractual and other ad hoc financial reporting packages.
• Partner with accounting leadership on ERP, reporting, automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Legal, Payroll, Revenue Cycle and other teams.
• Own parts of the monthly, quarterly and annual close, and prepare and review complex account analyses.
• Support annual financial statements, footnotes, audit documentation and audit readiness.
• Research and document reconciling items and accounting discrepancies.
• Help build a scalable, COSO-aligned internal control environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience.
• Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate; Big 4 or regional firm background is a major plus.
• Preferred: experience with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and equity accounting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Month-end close, account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel.
• Preferred: Workday, Adaptive Planning or similar ERP and reporting systems.

• Salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus.
