Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our dynamic engineering firm. The role provides financial leadership, ensuring accurate records and insightful analysis to support strategic decisions. This is a hybrid, full‑time position offering competitive compensation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Streamline accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management.
• Oversee junior accounting staff and identify process improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the engineering industry.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
