Senior Account Manager - Middle Market Employee Health & Benefits: Self-Funding Expert

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency's Midwest Region is a full-service brokerage offering business insurance, employee benefits, private client insurance and retirement services. As a Senior Account Manager, you deliver services to clients by creating and implementing customized service plans, building strong client relationships, negotiating coverage and managing proposals and renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong client relationships and understand their needs
• Negotiate coverage and manage proposals and renewals
• Engage in strategic planning for clients and understand the full scope of their business
• Create detailed analyses and presentations for prospect and client meetings
• Lead renewal meetings and present at open enrollment meetings
• Review the accuracy of others' work on projects

Required profile

• 5+ years of insurance experience in applicable products and lines, funding mechanisms and employee benefit techniques
• Ability to interpret complex self-funded policies and guide others on a fast-paced team
• Good time management, organization and problem-solving skills
• Plus: Life & Health license preferred or obtainable on hire; BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field; GBA, CEBS, VBS or similar benefits designation; experience with Applied Epic; availability to travel for client meetings
