About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency's Midwest Region is a full-service brokerage offering business insurance, employee benefits, private client insurance and retirement services. As a Senior Account Manager, you deliver services to clients by creating and implementing customized service plans, building strong relationships, understanding their needs, negotiating coverage and managing proposals and renewals, including strategic holistic planning for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate coverage and pricing
• Complete applications, prepare submissions and proposals, and provide coverage analysis and risk management recommendations
• Manage proposals and renewals
• Review the accuracy of others' work on projects or tasks

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in commercial Property & Casualty insurance at an agency or related company
• Ability to interpret complex documents such as multi-coverage policies, detailed applications and proposals
• Ability to work and guide others on a fast-paced, high-energy team
• Travel for client meetings as needed
• Preferred: Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain it, and a degree in Business, Insurance or a related field

Required skills

• Highly proficient with Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and agency management systems
• Plus: experience with Applied Epic and a CPCU, ARM, CISR or similar designation

What we offer

• Base salary of $90,100 to $167,900, depending on experience, skills, training, location, certifications and education
