Semiconductor Maintenance Technician - Diffusion/Cleans

About the role

NXP is hiring a Semiconductor Maintenance Technician for its Chandler manufacturing site, responsible for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of equipment in the Fab Cleans/Diffusion area. The technician maintains the toolsets listed below and works in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain diffusion furnaces (SVG VTR 7000, TEA Alpha-8, SVG AVP 8000, TEL alpha-858, TEL WAVES), laser scribes (Lumonics WaferMark), leak detectors and supporting metrology equipment
• Maintain cleans equipment such as Semitool, TEL/FSI, DNS and Dainippon Screen tools
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance, consumable changes and other area-related tasks
• Diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans
• Interface with internal and external groups to meet safety, performance and reliability requirements
• Follow all safety protocols around hazardous chemicals; document work and train others where required

Required profile

• Solid understanding of SPC, 5S and FDC systems
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and physically handle tasks including stooping, crawling in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Preferred: AA, AS or AAS in electronics or another mechanical discipline; education plus experience or military training may satisfy the requirement
