Semiconductor Maintenance Technician - CVD Equipment

About the role

NXP is hiring a Semiconductor Maintenance Technician for its Chandler fab, focused on CVD equipment. The selected candidate performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the toolsets listed below, troubleshooting and repairing electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems, changing consumables and carrying out other activities that keep the area running.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain CVD, AMAT Centura 5200 (SACVD DXZ and HDP Ultima+), AMAT P5000, AMAT Producer, Novellus Concept 2 STI, Watkins Johnson 999, Rigaku XRF 3650 and Edwards abatement tools (Atlas TCS, TPU and TCS)
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and consumable changes
• Diagnose equipment alarms, read operational data and create action plans
• Use root-cause analysis to solve complex problems on semiconductor toolsets
• Interface with internal and external groups to meet safety, performance and reliability requirements
• Follow all safety protocols around hazardous chemicals; document work and train others where required
• Work a compressed shift with night shift available

Required profile

• Solid understanding of SPC, 5S and FDC systems
• Able to work independently for long periods, with strong written and verbal communication
• Physical stamina: standing up to 12 hours, stooping, crawling in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment with minimal direction
• Education: AA, AS or AAS in electronics or another mechanical discipline preferred; implant or military training experience may also satisfy the education requirement
